A neat row of kitchen mugs, a favourite cookbook, photographs that make you smile. Our Driftwood Grey Flat Edge Shelf gives everyday belongings a considered place, combining a straight profile with the individuality of real wood.
Every piece is handmade to order in our North East workshop. We work with the grain, knots and character of each board, shaping and finishing it individually. Those details make your shelf one of a kind: a statement piece with a place in everyday family life.
The soft, weathered grey finish works beautifully with cream walls, muted greens, black accents and natural textures. It brings a calm, grounded feel to a family kitchen, living room or workspace.
The flat edge creates a clean line across the wall, ideal for a simple feature or a coordinated arrangement of shelves. Natural grain and knots add depth and interest to its understated shape.
We use Littlefair’s wood dyes to bring colour and the timber’s natural detail together. Careful preparation and individual finishing are part of the attention we give each piece at Rutherford Works.
